		<description>Proud owner of a few 24 hours books - it&#039;s especially useful for me as someone who isn&#039;t a hard core programmer, but needs to be up to speed with various languages and technologies to support the developers within the organisation. As you say - often a quick, broad knowledge of the subject is what is required and for that, they&#039;re hard to beat.</description>

		<description>You&#039;re absolutely right. It&#039;s a bit similar with the &quot;for dummies&quot; series of books. You get dirty looks by just mentioning them. But many offer a pretty solid introduction into a wide range of complicated subjects.</description>
