I have no idea. Unfortunately, shortly after I posted this blog entry, we landed a massive SharePoint contract that had to be delivered at short notice, and the string of late nights that resulted from trying to meet the deadline spelt an end to my intention of learning Rails. These days I use Django (the Python framework) for the stuff I do in my free time instead.

I agree with you. I still have the same approach for learning a new language. I'm trying to learn ROR using the same shorcut, I had spend around six months learning through tutorials, screnn casts and through books. Tutorial and books that I bought, have the same approach for teaching Ruby On Rails, developping a sample application as a workshop. At some step when there is a need of a more detailed explanation, you get only the sight of how marvelous is the magic inside RoR.Do you know where to find a tutorial or a book that focus the teaching of RoR with a systhematic approach?
